True Story ; Giovanni Patanè my father 2-4-1927

                                                                                                                            Is it a coincidence or a sign from above?A happily married couple, Giovanni and Sebastiana Patane, with three children, two of them married, with one single that lives with them. Giovanni, who they called U Catanisi, was born February 4, 1927. Sebastiana, who was also called Nanedda, was born May 29, 1932. At the age of 59, Giovanni becomes ill with an incurable disease that will keep him in bed for more than 20 years. He survived those 20 years due to the care of his wife Sebastiana, his daughter Nicoletta and daughter –in-law, Donna. Throughout it all, he remained at home. During that time, Nicoletta gets married to Gino. Seen the need that her father and mother had, the married couple decide to live at home. After several years, Nicoletta and Gino decide to buy a home in Newington, Connecticut and bring the parents to live with them. Nicoletta meets an old neighbor, very energetic, whose husband was also very sick. A relationship develops. Giovanni gets worse and dies. Soon after the neighbor’s husband dies, as well as the energetic old lady. The old lady’s house did not remain empty for long. The old lady had a brother named John, who lived in Avon, who took over the house. As neighbors, Nicoletta and John get to know each other and develop a mutual helping relationship. During the course of a conversation,Nicoletta found out that John’s birthday was on February 4, 1927, the same date and year as her father’s.
